Children's Library Closed This Week Aug. 22-27

The Children's Library will be closed this week, from Monday, August 22 through Saturday, August 27 with Storytime, Books for Babies and Tune Time programs moving to our Lerners Room (in the Passageway just west of the Dundas Street entrance).

The closure is required as we move much of the contents of our Children's Library into a temporary area on the main floor of Central Library so that the Children's Library can be renovated. For the next few months you will find a small place to play, several computers and our collection of children's books in this temporary area. Programs will run as scheduled in Central Library meeting rooms located in the Passageway close to Dundas Street. Please ask us to help you find what what you need. We'd be happy to help! You may call ahead with any questions: 519-661-4600.

Library Locations Are Cooling Centres

Did you know that our library locations act as official cooling and warming centres during times of extreme weather in London?  All Londoners are welcome to cool off in our neighbourhood library locations during our regular hours of operation. If you know of someone who needs a cool place to spend time (many of our locations are open from 9am-9pm), please remind them that their Library would welcome a visit.  For a list of other cooling centres and related information, particularly for our most vulnerable, visit the City of London's website.
