The plaque is mounted on the front of the Natural Sciences Building, Western University, London, Ontario.

History

 

Near this site, on April 15, 1922, the first sod was turned for the Arts Building (University College) by Governor-General Lord Byng of Vimy. Two years later, The University of Western Ontario moved from St. George Street to this location, its third campus.
