Dedicate your Donation
Donate in honour or in memory of someone
Whether you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or recognizing a life lived, a gift in support of the Library is a significant gesture that benefits the London community now and in the future. When a gift is made, we send a special acknowledgement to the honoree or family to let them know you are thinking of them.
A Book For Every Child
A Book for Every Child is a London Public Library fundraising campaign held annually during November and December to collect books and donations for children who would not otherwise own a book.

About Estate Planning and Legacy Giving
-
A charitable bequest can be a way for you to contribute money to the London Public Library while also realizing some of your estate and financial planning goals. Click here for sample bequest language.
-
By designating London Public Library as the beneficiary of your retirement funds you will receive a charitable tax receipt to offset any taxes owed. Your gift would go directly to the Library without being taxed.
-
Donate appreciated securities such as stocks and bonds and eliminate capital gains taxes as well as benefit from a charitable tax receipt. This is one of the most tax effective ways to make a charitable donation. To make a gift of securities, use Gift of Securities Transfer Form (PDF) and please contact us.
-
Giving a gift of life insurance is another way to make a gift with tax benefits. There are several ways to do this. For more information, contact Carla Rogers, Administrator, Fund Development at 519-661-5100, ext. 5114 or email carla.rogers@lpl.ca.

Planned gifts used to fund an endowment are a wonderful way to create an everlasting legacy. Endowment funds are invested strategically to preserve their original value and generate income used to support the Library’s work for generations to come. Establishing an endowment fund in your name or the name of a loved one is a way to provide ongoing support to London’s libraries.
-
Your planned gift can be undesignated or designated for a specific resource or program. The choice is yours. At London Public Library, gifts to the Enrichment Fund are among the most valuable donations. A generous gift to the Enrichment Fund allows the Library to respond quickly to opportunities as they arise and ensure your donation makes a difference, for both today and tomorrow.
If you have already made a planned giving arrangement for the London Public Library with your own financial planner and family, we hope you will complete our confidential form so we can thank you and learn how you would like to be recognized for this gift.
If you have questions about including the Library in your estate plans, please contact Carla Rogers, Administrator, Fund Development at 519.661.5100 ext. 5114 or carla.rogers@lpl.ca.

Beacock Garden
Thanks to the generous support of Library donors an indoor garden was installed at Beacock. The hydroponic grow system produces vegetables 25% faster than ground growth for a harvest every 2-4 weeks depending on the type of vegetable or herb grown. With 16 “pots” in a self-watering system, the garden will provide Library patrons access to fresh produce and food-related programming. Beacock harvested the first crop of basil in February!
Sherwood Youth Gaming
The Library introduced a gaming space at Sherwood with 12 new laptops and gaming headphones thanks to community support. Creating a safe “home away from home”, the new space offers neighbourhood youth ages 8-14 a place to play video games in a collaborative way. Another great example of how London Public Library is responding to community needs.
