The Welcome Centre at Central Library is a mental health and wellness resource that is available to everyone in our community. 
 
At the Welcome Centre, you can meet with a Social Worker from the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).
 
Current hours are Monday to Friday, from 9am-5pm.

 

You can find the Welcome Centre on the 2nd floor of Central Library, right beside the elevators. 

 

What is available at the Welcome Centre?

 

  • Friendly conversation and connection to community wellness programs.
  • Wellness information, support agency referrals, system navigation assistance, and resources related to mental health and addictions, housing, food security, physical health and wellness, and financial matters.
  • Supportive listening and crisis intervention for community members dealing with mental health challenges.


Additional CMHA Social Workers and a Youth Support Worker from London Intercommunity Health Centre (LIHC) are available on Thursdays from 1-5pm.

Paws for a Pet

 

Feeling stressed? Need a break? Drop in and spend time with a St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog at Central Library on the 2nd floor by the Welcome Centre.

 

Bask in the furry love and boost your spirits!
