Ontario Justice Education Network Fellow, Claire Strong, and other volunteers from Western Law will speak about their personal journey to law school. Topics include: why we chose law school, our motivations to pursue a career in the law, what our goals are with a career in law after graduation, the process of applying, speaking about stereotypes about our backgrounds and dispel possible perceived barriers to studying law. This program is generally guided by the group's curiosity and answering any questions that are on their minds. There are many different paths towards a career in the law. This is attempted by bringing together a diverse set of volunteers to share their stories and act as short-term mentors for the group.
