Friends of the London Public Library invite you to an afternoon with London author Jim Freedman. Jim will read from and discuss his new book "Carpet of Tears", a collection of "non-fiction stories" gathered while working in conflict areas around the world. Jim details the struggles and fates of the people he met with understanding and compassion. Reception, book sale and signing to follow. This is a free event. Donations accepted at the door to support children and youth literacy programs at the London Public Library.
