This morning, Libby/OverDrive were taken offline for maintenance related to restoring services. They remain offline as of the end of the day. We will update here and on social media once they are back online and available. If you had ebooks and audiobooks downloaded, they remain available.

WiFi service remains intermittent at our branch locations and we are working to fix this issue. There is consistent WiFi at the Central Library. We continue to work to bring back public computer access to all locations and are hopeful that this will be available soon.

We continue to encourage you to keep borrowed items at home until we are able to check items in. The catalogue remains unavailable, which means we are not able to check in or place holds or access your Library account. We are getting closer to restoring this service.

Regular hours resume at all locations starting next week (on Tuesday, January 2), including at Carson, Glanworth and Lambeth.

Work is continuing around the clock to bring the Library back to full service as soon as possible. We share your frustration at the impact of this service interruption.

We are continuing to keep the Library Board updated about the current situation. Today, the Library Board met at noon for an emergency in camera meeting that was called at 9am. We thank them for making themselves available. At this time, there is no more information available to share about the ongoing active investigation into the cyberattack. Information will be shared here as it is available.

You may have read the article in today's The London Free Press in which our CEO discusses the state of our library infrastructure and our current funding request that is part of the City of London's 2024 to 2027 draft budget process. You can find more information about our request on the budget page of this website. We are requesting a small increase in our budget to help address our current infrastructure issues and we ask you to consider contacting your City Councillor to let them know you support this request.
