Offering an updated browsing experience
We're excited to share that our online catalogue has had a refresh!
Two years ago, we launched our new online catalogue interface, Vega, which replaced an older interface that was being phased out by the vendor. Since then, we’ve heard from Library patrons and staff with suggestions for improvement and we’re excited to announce that libraries now have the ability to make limited changes to the look of the catalogue interface!
Vega is used by hundreds of Libraries across North America. London Public Library is one of only a handful of Libraries that have taken advantage of this new opportunity to improve your catalogue experience. We are thrilled that we can now customize some features and update the design of the catalogue in response to your feedback.
The new look is now live!
Here’s what you can expect next time you visit our catalogue:
- An updated design that feels like part of our website.
- A new, easier-to-remember URL: You can now access it directly at catalogue.lpl.ca.
Don't worry—this update won't change how you use the catalogue. It still works the same, but now it’s more visually connected to the Library website and easier to navigate. We've added more helpful links in the header so you can quickly get to popular pages, and you'll even see important Library service updates right on the catalogue page.
We hope you love the new look and find it even easier to browse and borrow your favourite items. As always, we’re here to help! If you have any questions, just reach out to us at info@lpl.ca or give us a call at 519-661-4600.
Happy browsing!
