We’re excited to share that construction on the Sherwood Branch renovation is progressing right on schedule! As we move into the next phase of the project, the current Pop-Up Library will be temporarily closing for relocation—just a short move down the hall. We're making this move as construction moves into the area where the Pop-Up is currently located.
Temporary Closure: Thursday, April 17 – Monday, April 21
There will be a brief closure period as we move into the new Pop-Up space. Please note that you won't be able to return items during the closure, as the book return chute will be unavailable until construction is completed. You can return items when the Pop-Up reopens in its new space on Tuesday, April 22, or return them to any other Library location. Pick up your holds before April 17 if you can, but rest assured, they will still be available once we reopen.
New Pop-Up Location Opening April 22
The Pop-Up will reopen just inside the Sherwood Forest Mall entrance, near the Library and The Little Gym. Hours will return to Tuesday to Saturday 9am-5pm. While the new space is a bit smaller, we’ll continue to offer key services including holds pickup, computer access, printing, and photocopying. Please note that browsing the collection will not be available, so we encourage you to continue placing holds online. The return chute will also remain unavailable after hours.

Available Services (starting April 22):
- Holds Pickup
- Public Computers
- Printing & Photocopying
Not Available:
- Return Chute (returns unavailable during closure)
- Browsing Collection (please place holds online)
New Hours (as of April 22):
- Tuesday–Saturday | 9 AM – 5 PM
Construction Timeline
The Pop-Up Library will remain in place for a few months as construction is completed. There will be a short closure period as part of the final phase of the project, as hoarding walls come down and the new Library space is filled and finished. We are feeling optimistic that the Library could reopen late this summer or early fall.
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work to transform your Sherwood Branch Library into a bright, welcoming community hub with dedicated spaces for children and families, larger rooms for community programs, and dedicated areas for study and work.
