Musical Instrument Lending
Did you know that you can borrow a musical instrument from Central Library at no cost? From congas to bass guitars, we’ve got a great collection that you can borrow, just like a book! Find and place a hold on a musical instrument for pick up from Central Library.
The Labs at Central Library
This central hub for creativity is located on the second floor of Central Library and has great resources available for you to use including electronics, professional software, robotics, sewing machines, 3D printers and more! There is no cost to use the equipment or book rooms at The Labs. There is a small cost for some materials, such as 3D printing filament and Cricut supplies.
Audio Recording Studio
The Labs includes an audio recording for musicians and podcasters to record and edit their media. The room features a high-end keyboard, as well as microphones and cables allowing instruments to be hooked into the recording software. The iMac in this space includes software for every level of experience from GarageBand to Avid Pro Tools and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Media Lab
Also located at The Labs is a media lab for photographers and videographers. This room features a green screen wall, photography backdrops, and lighting equipment. The room also contains an iMac loaded with software such as Adobe Creative Cloud for recording and editing purposes. Learn how to book the Labs and find Labs programs here.

Keyboards and Digital Pianos
Don't have room for a keyboard at home? A keyboard with headphones is available to use on the 2nd floor of Central Library - ask staff at the desk for assistance. Digital pianos with headphones are also available to use at Landon, Stoney Creek and Masonville Branches.
